The Outreach Committee will be collecting non-perishable thanksgiving food items for the YMCA Noah’s Anchorage Youth and Family Services. This is an exciting, new giving opportunity that we are embarking on this year!
These services will use the items you donate to put together baskets of thanksgiving foods for young adults and families served across their programs. The items they are looking for include canned corn, canned green beans, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, gravy packets, canned pumpkin pie mix, canned apple pie mix, and pie crust.
We will be collecting items between October 20th and November 10th. Please place your non-perishable donated items in the Turkey Box in the back of the church. Thank you!
Additionally, the church will be participating in the annual M-4 (Montecito Churches) Turkey Drive. Last year, All Saints collected 94 turkeys and chickens and over $2,000 as part of this effort to support the work of the Santa Barbara Food Bank. The M-4 goal this year is to collect 500 turkeys between our four churches.
Please deliver your frozen poultry to the church on Sunday, November 24th from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. There will be a collection bin for turkeys and chickens in the parking lot next to the church office. Please fill out a donation form on the information table and place it in the collection basket or return it to the church office as soon as possible, so we know how many birds to expect.
