Big Smiles at Transition House on Mother’s Day

Thank you to everyone who donated money and small presents to help make the All Saints Mother’s Day dinner at the Transition House shelter for homeless families a big success.

In total 17 beautiful bags were assembled Sunday afternoon by Lindsey Parks, Patrice Mueller (with daughters Alyssa and Liana) and Leslie Huber and delivered to the shelter. After dinner a child in each family was asked to come up and receive a gift bag to give to his/her mother. There were big smiles and appreciative comments when the mothers examined what was in the bags.

Thank you again to all who supported this initiative, it’s generosity like this that provides a welcome break in the experience of living in a homeless shelter on Mother’s Day.
