All Souls Requiem Eucharist
Monday, November 2, at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary
On the Feast of All Souls, we gather to remember and give thanks for the lives of our loved ones who have gone before us. All are warmly welcome at this special Requiem Eucharist.
The service features Maurice Duruflé’s luminous Requiem, built on the ancient Gregorian chants the Church has sung for its departed for centuries. It offers deep consolation for a night of remembrance, closing with the In Paradisum, in which the choir sings the departed into paradise. The Requiem will be sung by the All Saints by-the-Sea Parish Choir and friends under the direction of Steven Thomson, Music Director, with Dr. Thomas Joyce at the organ.
