M4 Habitat for Humanity Work Day

Parishioners of all ages are encouraged to join members of the other M4 churches in a Habitat for Humanity work day taking place in March.  The work will start at 9 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Habitat for Humanity construction site at 822 E. Canon Perdido St. The project includes twelve new homes that will provide affordable housing for 43 people including 20 children now living in sub-standard housing, and construction is scheduled to complete in June – July 2014.

All Saints volunteers worked at the project in November 2013, and expected tasks at the next work day will include painting, finish carpentry, attaching cabinet hardware, landscaping, and caulking. Participants age 16 and older will work at the construction site, and younger volunteers will be off-site nearby painting bird houses to be hung at the homes and other wood parts to be attached later at the site. Parishioners are also invited to participate by providing morning refreshments for the work party.  If you have questions, please contact Andy Rosenberger, 560-6185, or David Boyd, 969-2710, for more information.

3/11/14 Update:

To volunteers of all ages, thank you for participating in this outreach, and please arrive at the construction site 822 E.
