Walk for Peace, Sunday Nov. 20th

Once again, Muslim Americans are feeling the intensity of prejudice and uncertainty. Not only Muslims, but many minorities in the US are facing their fears of discrimination and violence all across the Nation.

Please join people of faith through Santa Barbara in a peace and support walk to show your solidarity with the many who are feeling the brunt of uncertainty in this turbulent time. We will gather at the Santa Barbara Courthouse at 3:00 p.m. and being our walk at 3:15 p.m. We will make our way to State Street and proceed to De La Guerra Plaza where we will hear some words of comfort from our local interfaith leaders.

This walk is in now way a protest, but a coming together of our resilient community in times of adversity.

Please spread the word and invite anyone that you feel would benefit from this event. You can wear a safety pin, as many Americans are doing across the nation, as a symbol of support and solidarity with minorities. You can also bring a Dixie cup if you wish.

Meet at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and look for Fr. Paul Collins & Kathie Deviny.
