Thirty-five parishioners share the honor of reading the lessons from the lectern during each service and serving as intercessor.
Thirty individuals volunteer as Lay Eucharistic Ministers including 12 active for the 8 a.m. services and 16 to 18 active for the 10 a.m. services. The Lay Eucharistic Ministers’ primary responsibility at both services is as chalice bearers for Communion. However at the 8 a.m. service, Lay Eucharistic Ministers are also responsible for the additional duties of lighting and extinguishing the candles, presenting and receiving the offertory, reading the Prayers of the People, and bearing the cross for the opening processional.
