Wise Women Host TED Talk, February 22

Wise Women (and men) will meet Sunday, February 22 after the 10:00 a.m. service in the Parish Hall for fellowship, lunch and a TED Talk by Lesley Hazelton, “Doubt is Essential to Faith.”

When Lesley Hazleton was writing a biography of Muhammad, she was struck by something: The night he received the revelation of the Koran, according to early accounts, his first reaction was doubt, awe, even fear. Yet this experience became the bedrock of his belief. Hazleton calls for a new appreciation of doubt and questioning as the foundation of faith – and an end to fundamentalism of all kinds.

Sally Wilcox will lead us in discussion after this Ted Talk. A small donation of $5 is requested to cover the cost of lunch prepared by Linda Chapman. All are welcome!
