The Wise Women will meet this Sunday morning . . . but with a different presenter. Due to the Rev. Vicki’s health issues this past week, her presentation on a Spiritual Toolbox will now be delivered by the Rev. Don Stivers. Fr. Don will explore and explain a number of the “tools” in our spiritual “toolbox” that we can use to grow closer to God. A discussion will follow his presentation.
All women (and men) of the parish are invited to attend this meeting in the Parish Hall after the 10 a.m. service for a great time of fellowship, intellectual stimulation, and delicious food (please bring $5 to cover the cost.) To rsvp, please send an email to rsvp@asbts.org.
Note that the next WiseWomen session will take place in just a few weeks, on February 16, when we will hear (via a TED Talk video) from Dr. Brené Brown, a research professor in the field of human connection — our ability to empathize, belong, and love.
In her talk Dr. Brown will pose questions like:
• How do we learn to embrace our vulnerabilities and imperfections so that we can engage in our lives from a place of authenticity and worthiness?
• How do we cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that we need to recognize that we are enough: worthy of love, belonging, and joy?
Plan to attend after the 10 a.m. service, February 16!
