Holy Land Update from AFEDJ
Posted

Many believe the situation in the Middle East is both hopeless and confusing. Others think that we can have no impact or it doesn’t affect us. But as the source of our faith heritage, we have a real stake in the future of our Holy Land and its people.
The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem is living the Gospel in the place where it was written. Find out how the Diocese is stabilizing Christian communities and insuring that educated and healthy citizens are able to sustain peace in a volatile place.
The American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem is the partner in the US for this work. Anne Lynn, President of AFEDJ, will visit All Saints on Wednesday evening, June 4 (after Eventide and supper) to bring us up-to-date on the situation in the Holy Land, how our Outreach gifts have been used, and the impact we’ve had. For those who have traveled there, it will be a chance to relive the experience and share it with others. Anne travels to the Holy Land several times a year, where she learns about particular needs and listens to those who struggle to educate children or heal the sick with limited resources in an atmosphere of fear. She is coming to All Saints to offer thanks for the support we have provided in the past six years.
