Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops. Proverbs 3:9

Money is a tool: a means of exchange. Used wrongly it can wound our souls and our communities. Shared, it can heal people and the earth, honoring God in the process. Generosity is the learning and teaching in which we as the Church are tasked to lead the world.
October 5 saw parishioner Alex Smith Williams share her story. Then Marni McGee served as our lay preacher on October 12. Her text came from Matthew 22.
“This is a rich but puzzling parable about a king who prepares a wedding banquet for his son,” says Marni. “When the invited guests refuse to come, the king sends his servants out to gather other guests. In the end, WE are the guests at the king’s great feast.”
Please make a special effort to attend all October Sundays, and do everything you can to be with us at All Saints on All Saint’s Day, November 2, when we celebrate Consecration Sunday and the Rt. Rev. William Burrill as he leads us in filling out and offering our Giving Cards for 2015 at the foot of the altar. This will be followed by two delicious brunches: one following each service. See you then!
