Bell Tower and Foundation In 2012, engineers discovered that the
114-year-old foundation of our church and the framework of the Bell Tower are
vulnerable in the event of an earthquake. This project will make the Sanctuary
stronger and safer by bringing the foundation and Bell Tower up to current
stringent seismic safety codes.
Memorial Chapel The Sanctuary Preservation and Readiness Project calls
for the creation of a lovely and serene Memorial Chapel with columbarium
niches for parishioners and their families who wish to have their cremated
remains rest within the walls of the church.
Seaside Chapel Today, we lack a space for intimate ceremonies. We are in
need of a gathering space as well as a site for prayer when the main church is
not available. The current Vesting Room will be repurposed into a chapel ideal
for small weddings and other uses that call for a more intimate environment.
In addition, interior walls of this new chapel may be opened to expand seating
capacity of the main Sanctuary. Initial plans also include providing full access
to the patio and an update to the working spaces of the Altar and Flower
Guilds, and of the Sacristy.
Landscaping and Campus Improvements This project will involve
developing a harmonious landscape look throughout the campus while
conserving water and eliminating perimeter plantings; enhancing usability of
the Parish Hall; and creating areas for meditation, fellowship and youth activities.
Enhancements to drainage and other patio needs will also be assessed.
Endowment We will establish a new endowment and invested reserve
funds to help finance repair and maintenance costs of All Saints' buildings.
These financial resources will enhance our ability to support our Worship,
Formation and Outreach.
The physical spaces in which we worship should fully reflect our spiritual values--to be a
living embodiment of God's eternal and inclusive love. Currently, our beloved Sanctuary
faces significant challenges--both seen and unseen. A special funding project, beyond
the annual stewardship drive, is needed to strengthen the Sanctuary and remove barriers
to worship. These physical improvements and an accompanying endowment will help
the Sanctuary remain a beacon of God's love for generations to come.
The project will preserve the magnificent look and feel of our historic church while
addressing several areas of critical need:
The Next 114 Years
The physical improvements and
endowment will help to ensure
All Saints' future vitality.
