Share Your Faith on “Social Media Sunday” on June 29

On Sunday June 29, All Saints (alongside a world-wide movement of other Episcopal churches) will be encouraging people of faith to share the gospel and participate in “Social Media Sunday.”

“What is Social Media Sunday,” You Ask?

Obviously . . .

  • Moses wasn’t using TripAdvisor to find a nice, reasonable hotel in the desert
  • David wasn’t posting his latest psalms to his YouTube Channel
  • Jesus wasn’t live tweeting events (although all the Beatitudes are 140 characters or less, making them perfectly suited for Twitter!)

smsHowever, our faith has gone viral since the very beginning and Social Media Sunday is a way for everyone to share their story online and invite others to come and see!

How You Can Get Involved

Getting involved on the day is easy. All you need to do is use whatever social media tool you feel comfortable with – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare – to share your faith with the online community.

To help us keep track of you can use the hash tags:  #Episcopal, #SMSunday and #AllSaints

Practical Examples of How You Can Get Involved

  • “LIKE” and “SHARE” All Saints on Facebook
  • “Check into” All Saints once you arrive for your service
  • Upload fun and engaging photos while at All Saints
  • Make a church-related tweet or status update on the day

If you need a little help on the day we’ll have “Social Mediators” available to show you how to navigate the sites. Rev. Bob is also going to ensure there will be ‘official’ time at both the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services for you to get involved!
