Shout Out for Mother’s Day Celebration at T-House

Motherday1_400x343

Eighteen mothers of homeless families living at the Transition House shelter were celebrated on Mother’s Day with gift bags made possible by generous donations from All Saints parishioners. Following the tasty dinner featuring BBQ
tri-tip and chicken, a child in each family was invited to come up and receive a
long-stem rose and a gift bag to give his or her mother. The gift bags contained costume jewelry, a necklace hand-crafted by parishioner Ken Jewesson, a scarf, various toiletries, and a $65 gift card to Ross stores. There were big smiles all around as scarves were modeled, necklaces were admired and gift cards were appreciated. Thank you very much to All Sainters who helped in various ways to create this brief respite for mothers living in the institutional setting of a homeless shelter.
