Phase 2 Permit Process Gets Under Way

On July 1 All Saints filed our application with the County Planning Department to amend our existing Conditional Use Permit — which dates back to our last major construction begun in 1997 — to cover Phase 2 of our multi-faceted Sanctuary Renovation and Preservation Project. At the same time, we made our required submittal for a Coastal Development Permit.
Within the next month, the County will advise us of any necessary changes to the Conditional Use Permit application, and once those are addressed (usually another 30 to 60 days) we will be scheduled for a hearing before the Montecito Board of Architectural Review. They will ultimately make a recommendation to the County Planning Department; anyone may appear to comment.
Following that report, we will be scheduled to appear before the Montecito Association, where interested persons again may appear, including parishioners showing their support for the project! We do not expect a hearing before the Montecito Planning Commission, though that could happen if there are issues not resolved with the Montecito Association.
