KEYT: All Saints by the Sea Episcopal will reconstruct the tower to withstand an earthquake

After 116 years, the bell tower at a Montecito church is coming down for repair.

A special ceremony took place Sunday at All Saints by the Sea Episcopal on Eucalyptus Lane.

The tower structure is aging and showing signs of cracking. Church officials say it could be damaged in an earthquake.
The tower will be deconstructed in May with each stone marked for the eventual reconstruction over the next six months.
