Birding at the Carp Salt Marsh, Saturday Feb 20 at 9am

carp salt marshCome for a time of learning to see, name, and delight in birds at the Carpinteria Salt Marsh, the restored wetland home of dozens of species of songbirds, shorebirds, waterbirds, and wading birds.  We’ll be walking down a gentle path welcoming to birders of all ages. Wear good shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting a bit muddy. Bring binoculars and bird guides if you have them; if not, there will be extras you can share.   We’ll meet at the Ash Avenue entrance, right at the intersection with 3rd Street at 9AM on Saturday, February 20.  The walk will last for around 1-1.5 hrs, and be led by parishioner Amanda Sparkman, a wildlife biologist at Westmont College.  Please sign up at the information table, or email Amanda at sparkman@westmont.edu if you’re interested in joining in!
